Music has always held a special place in my heart. I’ve been a singer, performer, songwriter and recording artist for over 30 years.
I am honored to have been the recipient of several club and live venue awards here in New York City for “Best R&B/Jazz Vocalist” and “Best Female Vocalist” and have given voice clinics and presentations at several schools including Teachers College at Columbia University, Chapman University Educational Program and Berklee School of Music where the founding members Alma and Lawrence Berk had invited me to teach full time. Over the years I have been involved in many projects ranging from Music and Art Programs for Inner City Kids to Choir directing here in New York City.
My clientele ranges from pre-teens to mature adults and I have experience working with individuals across musical styles (including R&B, jazz, pop, rock, Broadway and opera).
With everyone I work with my goal is to direct a singer towards a healthier, more extensive usage of his or her own voice without losing the special qualities that set them apart. I never want to take away the personality and style of a singer – that’s a reflection of who that person is. Staying true to your own voice is something that will help you become a better singer and a more confident person.
